We drove across northern Montana on Route 2. The speed limit on this two lane road was 70. There were few cars. We became used to being the only ones on the road. Waiting near Glacier helped us miss the storms. We had good weather. I've become fond of the rolling grassland. Sometimes the road becomes a wavy ribbon stretched out in front of us. I also understand why Montana says it has a "big sky" You can see it from horizon to horizon. Today the clouds ahead of us were dramatic. Tomorrow we go to Theodore Roosevelt National Park. We will be staying at the Rough Riders Hotel (will it be cheesy ?) People said they did a great restoration. But people liked Wall Drugs too. Hoping for good hiking weather.
